Club call Signs

1970sqslTelford and District Amateur Radio Society holds two club callsigns  G3ZME & G6ZME.

G3ZME is the original callsign that was issued to the club when it was previously known as the Wrekin Radio Society and is considered the main club callsign.  It is used in many forms but usually as GX3ZME, the callsign is held by our Vice Chairman Martyn G3UKV.  We use the this callsign on shack evenings at our QTH, it is also used prior to our transmitting for Marconi Day as GC3ZME (signifying a club callsign from Wales), and have also used it as GP3ZME from Guernsey, as GT3ZME from the Isle of Man. Look out for this callsign this year again in contests but also in our mini dxpedition to Guernsey GP3ZME/p

G6ZME is the clubs secondary callsign and is used on our portable events that we put on through the year.  This callsign was formerly held by our Treasurer Jim G8UGL, and now by our Secretary John M0JZH
